Myohar is famous village of Kaushambi Distt. It is located few miles, between the Ganges in the north and the river Yamuna in the south before the converge in the sangam in Prayagraj. Kaushambi is a well known for its Buddhist settlement in the past. Myohar kshatriya;s have contributed in India's fight for freedom from the British colonialism. Its Kurmi Kshatriya Thakur clan who were the rich ruling class, in those times, were in the forefront with 200 freedom fighters being awarded "Tamra Patra" in recognition of their sacrifices during the fight. Many prominent politicians visited Myohar to seek the support of the ruling Kurmi Kshatriya (Thakur). Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna was supported for his education by Thakur Shiv Nath Singh's family. Notable among them It is rich in farming. Wheat, rice and sugarcane are main crops.
