Village Paikolia Muslim, Post: Paikolia, District: Basti, U.P., India, 272181. This is an old village under Paikolia Muslim. Earlier, this was known as Paikolia Chaudhary or simply Paikolia but since there are two other villages nearby by the same same, it was named after Paikolia Muslim to differentiate it with other two villages as major population of this village is muslim and avoid problems while searching people or delivering letters or other notifications or during visits of government officials as well as during maintaining the records. This is an old and well developed village. I has a primary school which dates back to around year 1900 and it has a famous high school named as Jamia Islahul Muslimeen. There are plans to develop it in a college in Islamic environment. All are requested to come together and shake hands to build up. This village has a great contributions in development of the region, district and the country. This is a highly educated village. There is no village in the district like this. This is a cosmopolitan village where Hindus and Muslims live together. Athough, this is a muslim dominant village, there has never been any issue between Hindus and Muslims. This is an example village for Modern India to follow. You can find many hindu single families living among whole muslim dominant neibhourhood freely not today but for centuries. There have been many famous Hakims (Old Doctors), army colonel, professors, Lecturers, Judge, Barristers, a lot of great teachers, scholars, religious scholors, poets, famous doctors, great businessmen. Sons of this soil are not limited in their village, area, district, state, country but they are spead all over the world. Before partition, they concentrated in Burma and Calcutta and now they are concentrated in many cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Hyderabad and Basti etc. Some of the people living in Burma offered their lives serving the country as freedom fighter during Second World War. But very few people know such contributions as people of these families did not want to moneytize there sacrifices or they wanted any reward or fame for such noble cause. There are many witnesses still living in the village and their families are still there to verify these facts. Being a son of this great soil, I know this village better than others. We are part of a great heritage legacy. The land I am talking about is not a granted or occupied land, rather is a purchased land before centuries. I mean the land of Paikolia Muslim which is spead over 1000 bigha or around 300 acres. Initially land of Paikolia Muslim was purchased from the Raja of the region, after that another village named Imiliya was purchased after increasing the family to settle some people there. There was another village owned by the villagers, which was won by our forefathers in an arrow bow competition by the Raja of the area. This is some highlights of the village.
