Jalalabad is an ancient town where education is well valued since old days. During the period 1950's that is when I was born in this town and studied in Primary school,Junior High School in Jalalabad. The commitment of teachers and their zeal to make the schools and students outshine in the district (old Farrukhabad) was backbone of the success of these schools. Jalalabad being situated at GT Road always had an advantage of being a source of attraction for politicians. In old days when Ram Manohar Lohia used to represent the constituency leaders such as Indira Gandhi had a stop over and gave a speech that shows the importance of this village. Though kids of our generation had a dream to see a train station with double rail line or a proper bus station could not materialize due to steep growth of Gurusahay Ganj with local commerce point of view and that always overshadowed Jalabad's academic achievements. However, Jalalabad being a Block Development Office is big gift of the state Government and Jalalabad will always be proud of its intellectual contributions internationally. I am keen to know the history of the town specially the regime of Raja Bholanath and how this town was named as Jalalabad. I miss lyrics in our local dialect including Alha. I am settled overseas and would appreciate any communication in regards to the above subjects in Hindi or English.
