Bhainswal history date back to 7th century AD, and inhabited by the population migrated from Kalanaur, now in Rohtak District. Since long the village is inhabited by almost all the caste annd religion. This village is named after vernacular term 'Bhains' meaning buffalo which is considered as the sign of prosperity. The village has has large fertile land tract of 52000 bigha or approximately 11000 Acres. Bhainswal was the seat of archaic social system' khap'of 32 villages  popularly known as Battisa khap. 

The village primary school dated back to Mughal period which shows that residents were aware about the importance of education.One Englishman Mr Morris born here and became the collector of Meerut district during British period.The eastern yamuna canal constructed by Britishers during 18th century and sugar mill stabilised in 1932 changed the fortune of this village in farming which is indicated ny the fact that in 1969 this village had more than 250 tractors. This village remained mostly peaceful due achigh literacy, For girl education the village have inter college but not in good shape.

Main Hindu and Muslim festivals are celebrated in village with traditional enthusiasm. On historical building is Jain temple constructed by native businessman jain family in 19th century. The village is now part of newly carved shamli district.
