Saunh is a medium sized village. It's 35 km far from district and just 60km from major industrial hub and biggest metropolitan of the state, Kanpur. There is no info about the history of that place only a few data has been stacked out. Very old Hindu Saint used to live here. The biggest landmark in this Hindu prominent village is Siddheshwar mandir which is located in the eastern outskirt of the village. You can reach here only by road through Bindki which is its Tehsil and also by Mahraha village from the link road.(latter one is preferred as earlier one is in a bad state) Although railway is not prominent in the area, still the nearest railway station is Kanspur and Bindki road. Overall, less dense and clean village and generally nice people (except for some notorious ones). You can find 3 schools inside the village (2 private) and has conveyance facilities to some of the best schools of Bindki. BJP is major party in this Brahmin dominant village residing in the southern and central part of village. SC and Dalits reside in the eastern, Western and northern outskirts. After Brahmins, KHATIK community is prominent here. Official language is Hindi, but people generally speak a mix of awadhi and bundeli dialects of Hindi.

The village is almost entirely dominated by Hindus, In the village of approx. 3.5k people, number of Muslims won't exceed over 10. General groceries are available in local stores, otherwise frok bikes to jeweler, everything is available within 4km range in Bindki. You can also find a telecom center and SBI service point inside the village.
