Panayil kadavu is not a village, It was a ferry point at Vakkom Pachanyath which links Vennicode. A bridge was built by the PWD of Kerala State and connected both ends of Panayil kadavu. The bridge reduced the distance between Vakkom and Varkala to 6 kilo metres. It is the shortest way to Varkala from Kadakkavoor. The Golden Island is near to Panayil Kadavu. One end of the Panayil kadavu (Panayil Ferry) comes under Vakkom Panchayath and the other to Cherunniyoor. T
