Sriperambadur is a major industrial area of Tamilnadu located in Kanchipuram district. This is the place where former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated. One can find a beautiful Rajiv Gandhi memorial Park filled with lush green gardens. Sriperambadur has several special economic zones where international airport is being planned. It is place of rapid industrial growth. Many international organizations have established their offices here and located 40 km from Chennai. Madras Sports Club is the major attraction here where formula II races held. Apart from the commercial activities, Sriperambadur is a place of countless temples.

The former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated in Sriperambadur. The memorial is an excellent place filledwith gorgeous green gardens.  The stone sculptures depicting the progress of India,  huge lawn amazingly fringed by trees, blast site which is surrounded by seven pillars, traces of Rajive Gandhi’s last steps and a stone mural marks the death spot are worth visiting.

It was found in 1952 and hosts 14 racing events includes bikes and cars. The famous Formula II car races are held here.

This is one of the most famous Murugan temple in Inda. Lord Murugan, Valli and Devasena are the presiding deities.  Kandha Sashti, Thai Poosam and Aadi Krithigai are the famous festivalscelebrated in this temple.

Chennai international airport is located 50 km from Sriperambadur which is ideal option to reach by air.

Several state owned and private bus facilities are available to reach Sriperambadur.
