RATLAM

The Kalika Mata temple located in the heart of the city is the elegant effulgence. The ancient remnants of the Shiva temple which is beautifully constructed in the Bhumija variety is situated in a place called Jhar which is 12 kms from Ratlam. These temples are estimated to be built around 11th century in the Paramara period and is famous for the presence of water springs.
Nageshwar Temple at Alot, The Hussain Tekri at Jaora, The Cactus gardens at Sailana, Paryavaran Park are some of the prime excursion places chosen by the tourists. The city fills the heart of the visitors with joy with its good number of meandering waterfalls. Jaman-Patli, Kedareshwar, Isarthuni are also the prime places which merit a visit.
Ratlam is popular for its tasty local savouries. Ratlami Sev is a renowned snack. Daal Baati with butter and Laddu are the lip-smacking and signature delicacies of the Malwa region.
