Patnitop

Patnitop is a 3 hours drive from Jammu. Tall conifers are found in this place.  It is an ideal spot for trekking and picnics. The pine-covered mountains can be seen. The place is serene and calm. 

A few shops are found which sell the Kashmiri specialties, such as, handicrafts, embroidered wool carpets which are called Namdas and embroidered long shirts also called Phirans and other woolens. Patnitop has cold evenings. Fog covers the mountains at this time.

                                        Tourist places in Patnitop

Naag Temple: It is a 600 year old temple. It is small in size. It is a symbol of unanimous faith of people in the country. 

Shudh Mahadev: It is another holy spot dedicated to Lord Shiva.

One can also participate in trekking and pony tail rides.

By Road: It is 3 hours away from Jammu. Private taxis are available.
