Paradeep is a beautiful beach present at the confluence of the River Mahanadi and the Bay of Bengal. The beach offers clear blue waters, green forests, rocks along the beach, marine drive and the biggest port. This beach is 94 kilometers from Cuttack and 125 kilometers from Bhubaneswar.

Temple of Baladeva: It is also known as ‘Tulasi Kshetra’. It is dedicated to Lord Baladeva. It is located at Kendrapara which is an important pilgrimage centre. It is 65 kilometers away from Cuttack.

Jhankad: A large crowd is attracted annually here because of a grand car festival that is organized. It is 60 kilometers away from Cuttack. It also houses the shrine of Goddess Sarala. The place is also known for its association with the first epic poet of Orissa named Sarala Das.

Bhitarkanika National Park: This national park covers an area of 36 square kilometers. It houses distinct varieties of animals. The national park is criss-crossed by rivers and creeks where mangroves grow in large numbers.

Gahirmatha beach:This beach is known for crocodiles, sea turtles and water monitor lizards. Rare white crocodiles are also found here. Deer and migratory birds also wander here. Various temples, sculptures, mud-forts and potteries dating back to the 10th and 11th century are also found here.

By air: Nearest Airport is Bhubaneswar, 125 kilometers away from Paradeep. You can hire a vehicle or catch a bus to Paradeep.

By rail: The nearest railhead is Cuttack, 94 kilometers away from Paradeep. From here you can pick a bus to Paradeep.

By bus: One can easily reach Paradeep from any part of Orissa by road. NH-5A links Paradeep to the 3 major tourist towns of Udayagiri, Lalitgiri and Ratnagiri, all within a 100 kilometers radius. The drive along the coastal belt is fascinating.
