In Magod Falls, the River Bedti is falling from 180 meter height and in Shivaganga falls, one can find a drop of 74 meter. There are many other surrounding towns to visit in Uttara Kannada such as Kumta, Bhatkal, Siddapur, Sirsi and Gokarna. Some famous temples are Mahalasa Narayani, Aryadurga and Vardhamanaswamy. Many railway lines are passing through this region, mainly Konkan railhead, Dandeli and Castle rail line are nearest railway stations.

Road transportation is well established and buses are available from state and private transport corporation to reach nearby cities from Uttara Kannada.
