Nagaon is the largest district of Assam and located on the banks of River Kollng. It is around 123 km from state capital Guwahati. The most visited and popular tourist spot is Kaziranga National park. Kazirzanga National Park is one of the most proud wildlife sanctuaries. It was established in 1908 and got the status of National Park in the year of 1974. It is also announced as world heritage site by UNESCO in 1985. One can find several wild life species here. It is the busiest tourist destination and one can see countless of visitors during the peak picnic seasons. It is serving as a homage for the two thrid world population of Rhinos. Swamp deer, elephants, wild buffalos, Chinese pangolins, Bengal foxes, gibbons, civets, sloth bears, leopards and flying squirrels are some of the animals seen here. It is also the homage for Indian tigers. There are several migratory birds are seen here which makes this as an ideal place for bird watching.
