Golaghat
Golaghat is a scenic city located at an altitude of 100 meters above sea level. River Brahmaputra is at north side of Golaghat. It holds an important value in freedom struggle. Besides its rich culture, Golaghat is also known as fantastic tourist destination. Kaziranga National Park is the prime attraction here. It was established in 1908 and got the status of National Park in the year of 1974. It is also announced as world heritage site by UNESCO in 1985. Garampani, Negheriting Shiv Mandir and Deopahar Ruins are some of the most visited places in Golaghat. There are several interesting places to get amused. Yupia, Garampani, Itanagar, Dimapur, Jorhat and Wokha are the most interesting places and worth to visit.
Places to Visit
Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga National Park is the prime attraction here. It was established in 1908 and got the status of National Park in the year of 1974. It is also announced as world heritage site by UNESCO in 1985. One can find several wild life species here.
Yupia
It is located closer to Itanagar. It is rich in fauna and flora. Jawaharlal Nehru State museum and the Buddhist Gompa are the two must visiting places in Yupia.
