 Jabalpur is one of the prominent districts of Madhya Pradesh which proudly claims of extravagant scenic beauty besides having a glorious past. Apart from being a prime authoritative hub, Jabalpur is popular for its renowned educational centres and vast collection of wildlife. 

 Located in the centre of Madhya Pradesh, Jabalpur is famed as one of the biggest cities of India. The spectacular views of the River Narmada which is located to the north of Jabalpur can be enjoyed from various points. 

 Rani Durgavathi Museum located in the heart of the city is worth visiting. Vast collection of rare articals, inscriptions and idols can be found here. There is a special section which consists of articals used by Mahatma Gandhi and some photos related to him. Madan Mahal fort located on the rocky terrain offer splendid view of Jabalpur. 

 Roopnath which is popular for its Lord Shiva temple, Bilhari having rare collection of antique idols, Rookhad blessed with rich collection of fauna and National park of fossils which has an amazing collection of plant fossils are worth visiting. Mandla ,Ramnagar and Pench National Park are the other places of interest.  
 
Jabalpur is best visited in the winter season between November-February. 

                                          PLACES TO SEE

Tilwara Ghat : This is the place where the ashes of the farther of our Nation was immersed in the holy waters of Narmada. Here, the Tripuri Congress addressed a large crowd in an open session held during the freedom struggle in the year 1939. 

Madan Mahal fort : This ancient fort which was constructed around 1116 AD by Raja Madan Shah of the Gond dynasty registers a highest point in the surroundings and offer stunning visuals of the city. 

Mandla and Ramnagar : Mandla is a beautiful place which is located about 95 kms from Jabalpur. It houses a 17th century fort which is superbly surrounded by River Narmada on three sides.  
Ramnagar consists of remains of a 3 floor palace.

By Air : Jabalpur has its own airport. It has good number of flights to Bhopal and Delhi.

By Bus: Bus facilities are available from Jabalpur to Bhopal, Indore, Satna, Raipur and Nagpur.

By Rail:  Jabalpur is well connected to the major cities by trains.
