                                                     IGATPURI
    Igatpuri is small hill station which is about 1900 feet above the sea level. Located in the Nasik district, it is blessed with cool mornings, dense woods, stunning sunrise and sunset, lovely chirping of the beautiful birds. 
   Igatpuri is famous for Buddhist form of meditation called Vipassana, which is drawing huge crowd from India as well as abroad. Bhatsa River valley, Camel Valley and the Five Waterfalls will leave the visitors speechless. Walavalkar Shivaji Museum explains the life history of Shivaji and also has articals used by him.
   The magical showers of the monsoon and the misty climate will rejuvenate the mind.
   This spectacular hilly terrain is best suited for trekkers to explore the unexplored. On the whole it is a nature lovers’ delight.
   The best time to visit Igatpuri is in the rainy season.

                                                PLACES TO VISIT
Bhatsa River Valley : This river valley is located close to Thal Ghat. The cool and calm atmosphere could buck up your zeal.

Camel Valley : This is close to the Bhatsa River valley. It is surely a thrilling experience to watch the waterfall, which falls from a height of 1000 feet.

Ghatandevi Temple ( Goddess of Ghats) : The famous Ghatandevi temple is after the Camel Valley. The huge Tringalwadi Fort lies behind the temple. The temple is flanked by Durvar Utvad, Trimak and Harihar hills on all sides.

Five Waterfalls : The splendid sight of the five waterfalls can be relished here. 

Dhammagiri : It is one of the prominent places of Igatpuri. This place is famous for  Buddhist form of meditation called Vipassana, which is drawing huge crowd from India as well as abroad.

Tringalwadi Fort : This magnificient fort is about 3000 feet in height. The walls, flooring and steps of this fort is still in good condition. There is an ancient Hanuman temple behind the fort which is famous for its secret tunnel. Spectacular view of Utvad and Harihar peaks is got from the fort.

                                                 SEASONS TO VISIT

   Igatpuri is a very cool place which can be visited throughout the year. Summers are not very hot and winters are very cold and the temperature may reach 5 degrees and it experiences heavy rainfall during rainy season.

By Air : Mumbai airport is about 135kms from here. 

By Train : Igatpuri is an important railway station. It has trains to all major cities.

By Road : Bus facilities are there to Nasik and Manmad.
