I am very much interested in the history of our Indian families from this village of Itwar. I am writing because I would like to know the history of the village as this was a main village in this district. I would like to know how long did the people inhabit this village, where did they orginate from i.e moguls etc. their religious beliefs. How did the people lived and what source of income they had. Their differences in culture, festivals celibrated etc.
Was the British and their army had any influence in this place. Why did the people of this village immigrated to the West Indies and South Americe between 1857 to 1948 and why did they went so far away from their birth place. What inspired them.
I am endeavouring to research these facts for reasons of historical importance and to write of the origins of our forefathers that find themselves lost in a world far away from theirs ancestors.
