OverView of Makorad Sahib
This holy shrine is at the feet of the blessed Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji. At this place, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib Ji went to Bihar in 1723 AD (166 BC).During the journey, they reached Makorar Sahib via Badhnata, Gobindpura, Gaga, Gurne, Nehan Kala, Munak. The first name of this village was Makoror. It became famous as Makoror Sahib with Guruji's Charan Chhoh. Guru Sahib ji camped under a pipal tree across the Ghaggar river. Guru ji stayed here for two nights. Seeing Guruji, a noble Hindu Gujjar brought milk to serve Guruji and sat at Guruji's feet. Sikh Bhai Gurditta, the chief carpenter of Guru Ghar, also attended Guru Ji with milk. Gujjar sitting in Guruji's service requested that why Guruji did not strain the milk that he brought me, it is known that Guruji said that brother you are keeping stolen cattle, therefore you are not capable of straining the milk that you brought to us, Guru. Hearing these words of the Lord, he fell at the feet of Gharuzi, after that Kajar requested at the feet of the Guru that Maharaj ji would have mercy on us, please spare us.
Sardhan Jar requested to ji and Guruji that there is a lot of anger on this village, our children die before they are young, our lineage does not continue, Guruji, please take care of this.
Guru ji promised that there will be peace in this city and the lineage will continue Also ordered Bhai Gurditta ji that not to use tobacco in Bhai's family, it will continue to flourish. Forgive the mistake made by the community of Gari village at this holy place. Diwan is decorated here on Panchami of every month. (The management of this shrine is being run by the local village management committee under SGPC Sri Amritsar)
Note- Every Sunday and Panchami with Sardha at this place, the Sangata bathes in the holy tank. Here skin diseases and hundreds of diseases and sufferings of children are removed.*
