The name of my village is Upale Mayani in the District of Sangli. It is a big village. The famous river Nandani flows outside the village. There is a big canal on the east of the village called as tembu canal. A small canal also runs through the heart of the village. Many good roads run through the village. About 3500 to 4000 people live in our village. People of different communities live here.Also there are many temple such as siddhanath jogeshwari, bhavanimata, maruti, mahadev, jotiba, mayakka, Khandoba, Nagoba, bhairavnaath teples and etc. There are both Hindus and Muslims. Most of the Hindus earn their bread by service and farm. Also there are many temple such as shri siddhanath jogeshwari temple, Bhavanimata temple, Mahadev temple, Maruti temple,Jotiba temple,Mayakka and khandoba temple etc. There are many educated men in our village. Some of them hold high offices under the Government. There are engineers, doctors, professors. Many of them live in towns. They come to the village only during holidays. There is a Z.P School in the village. There is a public news paper library in the village. There we can read many good books, monthly magazines and newspapers. There is a Post and Telephone Office in our village. There are also arrangements for football, cricket and other games in the village. The climate of the village is excellent.
