Gorana is a Village in Rudrapryag District, Uttrakhand State. Gorana is located 21 k.m distance from Rudrapryag and just 1 k.m from Durgadhar. It is located 120 km distance from its State capital Dehradun.
Gorana is one of the most prosperous villages in
the region, but the water problem continue to be inadequate for long. Gorana is
mostly rural farmland. The main occupation is farming. People are serving in
various private and government sectors.

Pandav Nirtya in Uttrakhand is one of the most famous dance form of the Garhwal dance form. Pandac Nirtya mainly belongs to the Chamoli district. The Pandac Nirtya is common related to the story of Mahabharata. It can be said that the Pandav Nirtya is a episodic representation of the Mahabharata story.
