OverView of Pranpura
Pranpura is inhibited by Nehra jats who shifted to this area some time in early sixteenth century from Jaisalmer side. There were three brothers namely Prana, Rana and Kishna who settled down to this arid zone and thus came in existence three villages of Pranpura, Ranoli and Kishanpur after their names. All the three villages are located contiguous.Now it is nineteenth generation from the time the ancestors came here as found recorded .in the books of "Jagas" Since the origin of the ancestors being desert state therefore the social customs and religious rites and beliefs are akin to Rajasthan. Even some of the peculiar common spoken words are resembling to that of Rajasthani language. Pranpura has a place of proud in the history of Haryana in many fields.Three villages namely Bhudka, Binola and Tikla have their origin from this village. Initially the village was part of Bawal Nizamat under the rule of Nabha State in pre independence days. Presently population of the village is about 1500. Occupation of the majority of people is agriculture but a large number of the boys are in army especially Jat regiment, Raj Rif, Grenadiers besides Artillery and other paramilitary forces like BSF, CRPF, ITBP and Delhi Police. Also there is a mix of teachers and other civil services.They have served in First world war, second WW abroad and participated in all the conflicts after 1947 in various ranks. There are two commissioned officers in the rank of Colonel namely B S Chaudhary and R K Nehra. There is one Deputy Superintendent of police in Rajasthan. Pranpura has produce good number of wrestlers for the services. Presently one boy Anil Kumar who is technical graduate is under going pre commission training at Indian Military Academy Dehradun. Karan Singh & Jaswant Singh Recruited in Pata Military Forces ITBP & SSB As Head Constable.Educationally the village is highly literate.There are a large number of post graduates and graduates in humanities, science, commerce, engineering and management. There is senior secondary school in the village. As a matter of fact Pranpura can boast of having primary/middle school even from the days of Nabha state. It is well connected village by means of rail and road communications. There is all weather road connecting the village to Bawal and Rewari besides NH-8.
