OverView of Gwar Talla
Gwar Talla is a small village of few houses, mostly delipidated. Most of its inhabitants have left for greener pastuers to Delhi, Dehuradun, Kotdwar, Roorkee, Lucknow etc in search of better life for their children in terms of education and employment. But many residents still pay visit to this place to get the rejuvenating feel and to connect with their roots. It is a beautiful place with vast expanse of step farms below and above the village. There is another village Gwar Malla which has more number of houses and is just above Gwar Talla. A still larger village Kulasu is about a kilometer distance from Gwar Talla and slightly at lower height that Gwal Talla. The mornings are full of chirping sound of variety of birds and evenings are based on your mood sometimes melancholy, somestimes enchanting, and sometimes just mesmerising as sun sets far away in the hills.
Old timers can remember the beat of Dholak and girls and ladies singing folklore in the open areas in front of their houses whilst beating the rice in stone crusher with wooden planks and making light of their hardwork through song repartaries.
The place is heaven and time and again one feels like relocating to this place to lead same simple and majestic life full of energy, full of godliness and full of vivacious joy. I love my village and its surroundings.
The languages in use are Hindi and Garhwali. There is a new road directly connecting the village under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana which connects the village from Simarkhal directly on earlier padestarian route. This is about 4 kms long road newly built in September-october 2019 and connects the village now.
