The swift but gentle flow of the river Khatalgarh from one end to the other divides the Patti Khatli in two halves and merges in Dunau Mahadev. These two parts are called Tailiphat and Siliphat. But the village Kothila has its distinction due to its special location which is part of both the above mentioned phats. This is the reason the entire Patti Khatli region can be envisioned from it. Maa Kalinka Mata Mandir on the mountain tops in the East, the Dunau Mahadev in the West, The Jwalpa Devi in the north and the Deeba Mata Mandir surrounded by the ever green trees in the front in the South can be observed from the village. The Khatalgarh river flowing from the east and the Ghansyaligaad river flowing from the south enhances the natural beauty of the Kothila. A very long history can be written on the beauty of Kothila. However, in short it can be said that the Village Kothila is situated at the high location on NH-121 Ramnagar-Beironkhal, Thailisain Motor Marg at the confluence of the said two rivers. For centuries the Village is being protected by the two Shivalayas on two sides (one is Gujiya Mahadev and the other is Khatalgarh Mahadev) and auspecious prayer sites of Baba Bhairavnath and Deeba Mata at the heights of 300 and 600 mtrs. it is 91 KM from Ramnagar and 332 KM from Delhi kamirigate ISBT and 316 KM from Anand Vihar ISBT.
