OverView of Khekada
about khekada & historyhistory of the village can hardly be of 150 years old.originally it was part of vast jungle area full of trees and weeds and unhabitated. however , in the course of time enterprising farmers from southeast of taluka and villages in nearby dangs area came , cleared the forest and started cultivation.in virgin land they were reaping bumper crops. originally only 10 to 12 families migrated.land holding was subsequently regularised by revenue authorities
khekada in marathi means crab found in river and ponds.but in map of the village with revenue department has been indicated as "khekada urf kedkhadak".

in old days there were no schools.few students were going to mission school at nearby Zamanzer village initially the school was in gujarati medium and subsequently changed to marathi medium.
khekada school was run by district local board of then west khandesh district of then Bombay state.the district local board is now called as Zilla parishad
there was no secondary school till the residential Ashram school was established by the Government.
A high school has been established at nearby village Zamanzer by a trust run by Shri Mahadu Gavit , social worker of the area. many students are taking advantage of this school.4
