OverView of Runija

              Runija village was founded by the clans of Merta Rathore Sardar Raghunathsinghot about 200 years ago. The rulers of this village has also made a small castle at the hilltop. Sh. Raghunathsinghji Mertiya was a very brave warlord. Once he liberated Kuchaman from the rule of Gour Rajput and subsequently he spread out his rule around this region. He set up his first ruling from Panchwa village near Kuchaman. Thereafter he spread out his ruling to Prempura, Kunkanwali, Lichana and many other villages in Parbatsar Mandal. One of his great grandson came to Runija and he founded this village. Earlier the population of this village was living in the premises of fort. But due to expansion of family, the half of the population came in the plain area. Therefore this village is presently divided into two part i.e Uparla Baas and Nichla Baas.

         NGO krishak Sewa sansthan in on runing RFBP-2 Project in runija village.In this village there is also a Chabutra (made over the smadhi) of  Mohanpuri ji Maharaj. It is said that if somebody who is bitten even by a deadly Cobra can be cured by Maharaj Mohanpuri Ji. Even now-a-days he is widely worshipped by the people of nearby villages. 

             Runija village is having a group of people those are famous in the field of Education as well as in higher class service. Mr. Dalpat Singh Rathore  (a prominent educationalist) from this village has earned his name in the field of Education as well as social service. He is running his institutions on the name of Noble Group of Schools across Rajasthan. For his exemplery services towards education and social service, he has been awarded with Rashtrya Ratna and Pride of India honour.(Credit for Mr. Dalpat Singh Rathore's rewards goes to her better half Mrs. Hem Kanwar Khangarot as she always stands by him shoulder-to-shoulder). The daughters of this village are not too behind. The daughter of this village Manju Kanwar  Rathore  married to Sh. Sampat Singh Shekhawat (Jakhal, Shekhawat Bhojraj ji ka), the sister of Mr. Dalpat Singh Rathore has also earned the name in the field of education. She is presently running an English Medium School in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan with almost 1500 pupils in her school. Other famous educationalist of this village are Th. Chain Singh Rathore, Th. Mahendra Vikram Singh, Th. Daljeet Singh, Kr. Sanjeev Singh, Th.Mohan Singh, Th. Niranjan Singh, Th. Gopal Singh, Th. Himmat Singh, Kr. Harshwardhan Singh, Kr. Abhimanyu Singh, Kr. Jitendra Singh. Other eminent persons of this village are Th. Durga Singh, Th. Prahlad Singh, Th. Ganpat Singh, Th. Girdhari Singh, Th. Ajeet Singh, Th. Shivraj Singh, Th. Durga Singh Rathore's one son Kr. Prem Singh is the Manager of Delhi Metro Railways and other two sons are custom collector and Geologist(scientist) respectively. Mr. Rajeev Singh Rathore is the first MBBS doctor of this village.
