Tassar village is located in the Palin circle of Kurung Kumey District of Arunachal Pradesh(India). This village is named after the Tassar clan of Nyishi tribes of Arunachal Pradesh. This village is one of the oldest village under Palin circle. It is about 5 kms from Palin Town and about 60 Kms from well known town of Ziro. It is about 95 Kms from Koloriang the District Headquarter of Kurung Kumey. This village is surrounded by Two rivers namely Palin Pabung(River) and Kudung Pabung(River). Here Pabung means River in Nyishi Dialects.
In Tassar village there are two clans viz Tassar and Takam who resides permanently from time immemorial. Tassar are land lords.
This village consist of about 30 Household in 12 Nyishi Traditional Namda(House). People of Tassar village mainly dependent on jhum cultivation. Tassar people lives like a king as there are lots of natural resource. There are abundant wild fruits and edible items which makes people lives like a king. Even nearest town Palin depends everything especially fire wood, wild vegetables etc from this village. In a word it can be said as resourceful village. Almighty has blessed this village with everything's.
The 1st Anchal Samity member of this village was Shri Tassar Pinchang. He served as ASM for 12 long years. After serving as ASM for 12 years he himself resigned from the post for his personal reason as well as to give a chance to a educated youths to this post. Presently Shri Tassar Pinchang is a Head Gao Burah of this village.
Indeed Tassar village is a beautiful village within Palin circle.
Many activities like Hunting, fishing are band in TASSAR AREA. Violators shall be syrictly take against as per local society Laws and also as per appropriate section of IPC. Also Tress-passing to own family protected land is strictly prohibited.
Kudung River(Dungchi Waterfall) and PALIN River(Tajaringpa) are the tourism attracted place in Tassar Areas. Both the river has a separate controller since ancestral i.e., Kudung is being owned by a KADUNG family of Tassar. Now-a-days, a water treatment plant for supplying water is being constructing in KUDUNG River Basin. Kadung Family of Tassar has the Sole right to control everything regarding this KUDUNG River.
