OverView of Saipuram
Saipuram is 400 year old Brhamana Agraharam which was known for Vedic Gurukulam(schools) and periodic rituals such as Yagna, Chayanam etc. Many priests in AP and Hyderabad in their late 40s and above at present (2017) learnt Vedas and Smartha in Sayapuram village under the gurus such as Kappagantula Chayanulu garu. It's original name is Shahban Puram, named after the spouse of Golkonda Nawabs, Hyderabad Kingdom before Independence. The local ruler attached to Hyderabad princely state or Nijam, Kondapalli Raja donated 800 acres to 8 Brahmin families who were invited to stay in this village. Kondapalli Raja also constructed Lord Lakshmi Narasimha temple, Shivalayam etc. with out the knowledge of Hyderabad Nawab. When latter came to know this, he was furious about the actions of his representative, Kondapalli Raja. To pacify the Nawab, Raja said he constructed this village in the name of the spouse of Nawab. However as time passes, Shabhanpuram is transformed to Saipuram Village. Now a days,most of Brahmins left the village for better prospects. However those who are still living there and those who are still connected to the village are striving hard for the welfare of the village and temples. When 400 year old Narasimha Swamy temple is in dilapidated condition, it is demolished and reconstructed following all ritual practises with donations to the tune of 5 Million. Presiding gods, youLORD Narasimha and Lord Shiva in this village are considered very powerful and many miracles are experienced by many devotees. Including the author of this note had great personal experience of Lord Narasimha's blessings. DUSSEHRA, Laksha Patti Puja in Kartikamasam, Narasimha Jayanthi in Vaisakha Laksha Tulasi Puja in Margasira Masam are famous and well attended by devotees. Free boarding and lodging with advance notice for Brhamin devotees is available organised by Lakshmi Narasimha Charitable trust. The trust also constructed Guru Nilayam for Darts Peetham Guru ji and other spiritual gurus visiting this place. The temple also owns a lake. Many people originally hailing from this village or connected through maternal relations have been successful and occupying senior positions in Government and Private sectors in India, USA, Canada, UK, Gulf, Singapore, Sri Lanka etc.Edit below overview about Saipuram
