OverView of Vinjane
Vinzane is a village set up by the Vinzanekar (Inamdar) family. The place was just a piece of land when it was given as an 'Inam' (reward) to the Vinzanekar family by the Maratha kingdom, for their great service. The Vinzanekars then built their house (called Wada in Marathi), which is a heritage site and has many interesting facts like Greek paintings on the walls etc. They then builts few more houses,made the land worthy of cultivation and brought in people from nearby places and setup the village. The place has since been running under the guidance and support of the Inamdars. However, there have been many tragic events and the villagers who were instated by the Inamdars turned against the latter just to get hold of the land. The villagers have even turned festive celebrations into riots with a plan to kill the then Inamdar Mr. Ravindra Inamdar and his family. The facts and figures of the residents are quite stingy. The dispute still remains and the ever land hungry people continue to harrass the young descendants of the Inamdar family.Edit below overview about Vinjane
