OverView of Bharathur
We are the second generation children who currently reside in different places in India and abroad. The first generation, a family of five-four brothers and a sister are all deceased. The village as they knew and grew before leaving in search of better opportunities is reported to have submerged due to Hemavathy dam project. Now what is Bharthur as we spell it is what is left. The local deity for the family is lord Ranganatha whose temple at the hillock (betta) is more accessible by a tolerable road.
