We have an Engineering college in our village premises, many efforts are being made by our Village Leader Sri Jakka.Srinu to establish Govt. Polytechnic which was long back allotted to ponnur mandal, lacking official govt land it has been running in Kantha Rao High School-Ponnur. Besides this there are (MPES) primary schools, a post-office, primary health sub center etc; are there. We have the biggest GOPI KRISHNA rice mill. Recently in collaboration with the ROTARY CLUB sri.Jakka.Srinu garu inaugurated Free RO processed drinking water plant. Sri Kanna Lakshmi Narayana (state minister) visited the village and started a Library, unveiled RAJIV GANDHI statue, Model BUS SHELTER, and few other development activities made by Village Sarpanch Sri.Jakka Srinu garu and appreciated all his deeds in public meeting.
Kasukarru achieved its village-hood from Chintalapudi in 1962. Chintalapudi, Vllabharao Palem, Sitarama Puram, Itcampadu, Ponnur are surrounds our village.

OverView of Kasukarru
The name Kasukarru is derived from the Sanskrit words Kasavu & Ooru which means a village of animal feed. By the time being people started living here and the village come into existence. There are about 1000 houses and 4000 residents in the village. The main occupation of the village is Agricultural Farming. Paddy is the main crop cultivated by the farmers in the village, besides that Black-gram, Maize, Sugarcane and other crops are cultivated all the year long. Beetal nut farming brought fame nationally to the two neighboring villages Chintalapudi and Kasukarru. Having ground water sufficiently there exists hand-full work to the farmers and agricultural labor all around the year. Farming vegetables and dairy are the part-time jobs to the farmers in the village. Late Sri Jakka. Venkateswarlu {[rtd office superintend ZPH School- Nidubrolu]} played a key-role is bringing Lift Irrigation Scheme to the village which blessed nearly 500 acres of land with two crops. Another lift irrigation scheme was brought to the eastern fields of the village is by Jakka.Srinu and Jakka.Ravi sons of Sri Jakka.Venkateswarlu, which is now left misuse by poor management. This village is blessed with sweet ground water and also donating water freely to the surrounding villages by the philanthropists of this village. Malemma Talli is the village deity and annual festival to the same deity called Kolupulu organized on the sundays of the telugu month Sravana. Sri Venu Golpala Swamy temple is the biggest & main temple to the village. Annual Kalyam is organized by the temple executive council. Recently, with the efforts of Sri Jakka.Srinu & his brother Sri Jakka.Ravi, a big Marriage cum Function Hall has constructed in the premises of the temple. Besides these the village have 3 Ram Mandirs, a Sai Mandir & 2 churches.Telaga is the major social community in the village followed by Yadavas; Kummari Salivahanas; Christians; Dasus; Yerukala a schedule tribe, Yanadi, Madiga are living very harmoniously in the village. Mikkili Tanayya is the first President to the village and because of his forecasting only today village is experiencing developmental fruits. Irrespective of political designations Jakka Brothers are contributing several developmental activities in the village. Against all odds Sri Jakka.Naga Srinivasa Vara Prasad (SRINU) elected as village Sarpanch in Jan-2014. He resigned to his job as Physical Education Teacher in AP Residential Schools, a Govt Organisation. Visionary by thought and skillful in actions are his own assets. During 2014 local body elections this village played a prominent role. Jakka.Ravindra Nadh who contested as ZPTC for Ponnur Mandal dragged attention & curiosity of all the public in the mandal.
