This village was established by Dhangliya gotra jat in 1702. Naga,dhangliya,gugad,manda and roda gotras of jat community live here.Most of population is schedule tribe Bhil. Scedual cast Nayak and Bairwa also live here.one family of Vaishnav bairagi for worshipping Lord Charbhuja temple and Hanuman temple.Two Goswami family for worshipping lord Shiva and Devnarayan temple. There is a big pond here. A primary government school was open in 2000. Mostly people depend on agriculture. Opium,wheat,maize are mai crops. Shambhu lal jat is first who passed matric in 1989. He did M. Sc. Physics from science college Mohan Lal Sukhadiya university Udaipur in 1996.Now a days he is Lecturer in Physics in government senior school Chittorgarh. Politically this village is one side bhartiya janata party sported because of Jyotsna Choudhary who was district representative (zila parishad sadsya) from 2015 to 2020 from bjp. She is holy qualified B.Com. B.Ed. L.Lb. This village is in Baru gram panchayat. This village is on the border of tehsil Rashmi, Gangrar, Kapasan and Chittorgarh. It is in among Baru,Banakiya Kalan , Bhatt Kheri,Banina, Kharkhanda, and Rood villages.It is in Kapasan assembly touching Bengun and Chittorgarh assembly. Baru is nearest bus stand 2 Km away.
