Borgaon rich by it's values and traditions is one of the beautiful village having the enthralling bountiness of the nature all around.Borgaon is one of the place where one can simply just have being attached to this beautiful village.HISTORY:-
Borgaon has it's name driven from the marathi word 'BOR' which means the fruit which has it's special value and also one of the famous fruit among every Indian .It is this special fruit which is ingredeint in every Indian 'sabji'.And it is called in local language as 'BER'.It was so that there were many trees of this fruit and accordingly the name came up "BORGAON" the royal name.It dates back around to 100-200 years before when it was formed.
Village is enthralled upon by all types of cultural people who are entitled to do and perform their own traditions and treat their cultural values .I as one of the villager of the Borgaon m proud of it.Village people mainly comprise of all the people from all caste and creed.All my lovely villagers are followers of "PANDHURANG VITTHAL" mean to say majority of them are varkaris .
Nearly 50% of the villagers are engaged in doing their farming activities and since our's is also a industrial area the rest 50% are employed in various industries situated in that industrial and one great thing that industrial area is known as "A.K.V.N" i.e Ayoudaikik Kendriya Vikas Nigam".The companies mainly comprising are Raymond Textile Limited and P.B.M polymers limited.
For to be unique there are various features that are worth mentioning and primarily i want to focus upon is that .Our village is the land of saints and it is proud mentioning that our's is birth place of the famous saint "PARKHI BABA" who has blesssed our village with his divine blessings .Also in the all the major festivals all the villagers come up enthusiastically and participate in all the major festivals mainly GANESH CHATHURTHI,NAVRATRI ,EKADASHI and to particularly mention we also organise every year "AKHAND HARINAAM SAPTHA" in which we usually receive all the blessings and gain spiritual knowledge from all the festivals taking place and many more things to say.
