Paldai village is founded by Helchin Taithul @ Heljachin Taithul in the year 1930.
It is a village of which the the ownership of the entire land was given to its founder by the British. It is dominated by Christian religion. The village had specially celebrated its Golden Jubilee in the year 1981 in collaboration with the Church Administration. Till date, the village is inhabited by about 95 household or families.
(L) Helchin Taithul is the first Headman of Paldai village
The first Chief or Headman of Paldai village was Shri (L) Helchin Taithul @ Heljachin Taithul. He was one of the seven childs of Shri (L) Sonkitawng Taithul and Smt. Tonching Taithul. His date of birth is in a lot of controversy. He was illiterate owing to non availability of educational institutions during that time. He was a brave, courageous and liberal man. He was talented in firing. He was not belongs to Christian religion in native. In the year 1931 he was converted into Christianity. He was baptized by a priest name Velnang. As per a reliable source he breathed his last in the year 1945.
