SURASYAR contains three pronunciation words in kashmiri language i,e SU, RAS, YAR, if we translate these words SU means that RAS means Juice YAR means friend. the complete meaning of these are THAT JUICE FRIEND. This village is situated at the bank Doodh ganga. There are many tourist resorts around it. It is formed in 1831, was 9 mud houses of different tribes . after 50 years Hunair Kutta was ruled in this area. he was the cook of Mharajadhiraj1856.Surasyar is one of highly populated Village of Budgam District. It is equidistant from District Headquarters and State Capital Sringar with an average distance of 26.5 KMS. There is a regular Bus service from Sringar Bus stand.
