Myanmar can be reached through Moreh and Tammu, with the help of an international road route, which stretches through the district. The military services of Manipur and Burma used to carry out many a number of military missions and counter-missions via this route before the time of Indian Independence; afterwards the same missions were carried out by the British Government.
