Patkul is very famous village in Mohol taluka in  a Solapur district.As it fought for many social problems which mainly include latest water demand  as it become a hot political issue in the current time..People from this village strikes hunger against government of Maharashtra  in Azad maidan. for almost 100 and more days .This laid this village a very famous not only in his district but all over Maharashtra.

It is recognized for the most educated village .The reason is that there are a huge number of teacher's are there in this village who taught in nearby villages.it has a most historic sculpture like a old jain mandir,vitthhal mandir,datta mandir,chinoba mandir etc.

Patkul city is also famous for epic 'wednesday bazar' i.e.market.this market is mainly include the cow,goat,ship etc. the people from nearby villages are comes to buy and sells his fruit and vegetable.
