Gurudeonagar is established by Rashtrasant Shri Tukadoji Maharaj, in 1930-40, he also established his ashram here so this village is also known as Gurukunj-Ashram, it is work place of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj he established Akhil Bharatiya Shri Gurudeo Seva Mandal, a charitable trust which is registered in 1963 , there are near about 25000 branches of Akhil Bharatiya Shri Gurudeo Seva Mandal in the country.

Gramgeeta is the holey book written by Rashtrasant here in which the idea of ideal nation is explained in very simple language starting from Gram i.e. villege to nation.In this book all topics necessary for life are discussed like health,sanitation,politics,spirituality.

Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj also established here Shri Gurudeo Ayurved Hospital to serve the needy people living in the villages around Gurudeo nagar.

Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj left this world for his heavenly journey on 11th Oct.1968 at 04:58pm. After that his Samadhi is established Infront of Shri Gurudeo Seva Mandal's Ashram.

Every year lacs of people come here on his death anniversary i.e. punyatithi in October.
