OverView Of Chikkawaddatti

Dr.Shivappa B. Halligudi is a Former Emeritus Scientist, from National Chemical Laboratory (CSIR-NCL), Pune was born in Chikkawaddatti  18th June 1948 and has contributed to catalysis research in India and  well recognised for his research. He is a reviewer for many catalysis journal and presently a member of the Editorial Board of "Catalysis Communications" an international journal. He has travelled extensively abroad and visited countries like Russia, Germany, France,South Africa, Japan, South Korea and Australia and interacted with reputed Scientists and Professors specialised in the area of catalysis for industrial and fine chemicals. He has also visited Singapore, Hongkong, Bangkok, United Arab Emirates, Namibia, Luxamburg and Amsterdam in The Nether land. He has married to Sunita of Bidinahal and has a son Subodh and daughter Madhuri.  He is presently living in Pune (Maharasthra), India. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), London on 25th August 2020 recognizing his contribution to catalysis research in India. His work aimed to synthesize new bulk and fine chemicals included chiral drugs using catalysts, which increased the rates or conversions of substrates and product selectivity.
