Alambadi is about 1.5Km to the east of Chikkathirupathi and 13 KM to the south of Malur town, 20 Km to the north of Hosur town(Industrial town ,Tamil nadu).Malur and hosur are connected with trains from Bengaluru(Formerly Bangalore). About 32 KM South-west of Kolar town(District head quarters)Nearest international Airport is KIAL, Bangalore. By road transport-Devanahalli- hoskote chikkathirupathi-alambadi can be reached. Famous temple is lord venkateshawara at Chikkathirupathi. Malur and chikkathirupathi well connected with buses from bengaluru. A lot of buses private, KSRTC, TNSRTC fly via Alambadi gate between Malur and Hosur. Alamabdi village is just 500 mts from Alambadi gate bus stop. The area is plain, lands are rain feed major crops are Ragi and Nellu/Battha(RICE). vegetables are cultivated by irrigating with tube wells water and ground water table gone down to 1500ft. First tube well/bore well was dug by Shegadhar Krishnappa in 1975 and water table was at 150ft.Alambadi is gram panchayat with about 2000 voters. The Alambadi village has most educated people among villages around and many have employed in govt and private sector serving as doctors, engineers, KAS officer, Teachers etc. Majority are marasu vokkaliga community with equal schedule and other backward class and community people.the people are very friendly and live in harmony. Most own TV for their news and entertainment. Electric Power shortage is common and Village has only govt. primary school upto 4th class.
