OverView Of Sanapalli Lanka

This is about how our village got the name "SanapalliLanka" Actually it's not SanapalliLanka it's "SenapalliLanka". Sena means "ARMY".

According to the history.

Lord Rama went to war with Ravana for sita. Before the war Rama placed Shivalingas (Shivalinga pratistapana) at diffferent places. The last one was at our near by village Mukteswaram (also called as Kshana kshana mukteswaram). Then Rama started for the war and came to our village. Since all the vanarasena was at our village waiting for rama. Rama along with the vanarasena started for the war from our village. Since the sena was at our village it got the name "Senapalli". Later Lanka was added to it.

This is how it got the name "SenapalliLanka".
