OverView Of Malwada

Malwada is situated on the bank of river called as Pinjal Nadi. It is sorrounded by good hill areas and forest. The population is approximately 4000 which is again located in various padas like Kolekar Pada, Chowdhri PAda, Divanchya Pada, etc. The village is know for its identity of producing Rice crops and the sand supplier from river.

Malwada is alos famus for the temples like Hanuman Madir, Shiv Temple and the Shani Mandir situated at river bank. There is one more idol of the village know as Hatoba to whom villgers belive its a god of making there wish in reality.

This village has its own history & identity. There is some evidenses of the visit of Ram & Sita in Malwada. Also there is a small bridge built by Bheem durring Pandavs visit to Malwada.

Durring Chatripati Shivaji Maharaj ruling Malwada is the place who has adopted the policy of 12 pagdi thats the region today also you will find all caste people happily leaving there. Its original name was MahalWada, because there was a palace (mahaal/wada)of a king of Jawhar at river side, after that it pronounced Malwada.
