Love Kush Teerth MundriLuv-Kush Tirath is stated to be the place where Maharshi Balmiki taught complete knowledge of Ramayana to the twin sons of Lord Rama and Mata Sita i.e. Luv and Kush. Legend states that Maharshi Balmiki took a vow of complete silence thereafter. Presently, temples of Lord Shiva, Lord Hanuman and Luv-Kush exist at the spot in Village Mundri along with ghats and kunds.Next to the ghats, there exists a historical âShiv Templeâ. At the centre of the temple, there are marble idols of âLord Ganeshaâ, âMata Parvatiâ and âNandiâ. Inside the temple, there are pictures of âLord Hanumanâ carrying âLord Ramaâ and âLord Lakshmanâ on his shoulders. There are pictures of Raslila of âLord Krishnaâ with âgopiesâ.In the courtyard of the temple, another room has been constructed with idols of âLord Hanumanâ, âMata Durgaâ, âMata Sitaâ, âLuv-Kushâ and also âMaharshi Balmikiâ made of marble.
