Wachi originally named as Watikeshwar and has now become wachi famous by temple Mangla Mata and Shahindam.It is 40 km from Srinagar and 4 Kms from Sangam i.e National Highway. Muslim dominated with 34 to 40 Kashmir Pandits who left in 1990 s.  Mainly agriculturist with paddy fields. People of this place are good except a few with different mind. Have love for my village where young play cricket. Before 1990s we young used to play cricket and matches with neighbour villages.
