Its a small village in devri khaneti. People are followers and have full faith in MAA DEVI NANDAN AND MAA CHAAL KALI, LANKRA VEER AND THOR MATA. The people have applr orchards n side by side grow peas. Potatoes. Cabbage.cauliflower and many other vegetables and fruits. The family that reside there are TITLA, BRAGTA, SOFRA, NEAKTA, DHANTA, SHYAM, KANWAR, MEHTA, ETC. All the work is done by the villagers themselves and by the Nepalese residing there with the people. Every year BISHU( mela) 3 days function is celebrated in the month of April where maa devi nandan comes n puja is recited and a mela is also organised by the people variety of shops is put by the people and dance is also performed by the local people and devi nandan also dances in the paliquen. There are many more function like KHEEN where devta g is invited for lunch in the village by the people sometimes it is organised by the whole village and maximum mainly organized by the particular families. There are many villages near by ie TRIHAN, THANARI, DAHAR, ETC. Road facility is there and bus service is also started from 2014 onwards. Rajta bus everday early morning at 6:50 comes from allowang to shimla and then at 12:20 in the afternoon again go back to allowang. And another bus is also about to start around 12:30 it will come to shimla from allowang.There is a school where kids from 1st class till 10th class study. And there anganbariari or kindergarten where small kids till the age of 4 goes. There is free service of khichdi( mixed rice and pulses) for the students studying there. Allowang is also known as second cheerapunji as only allowang is the village which receives maximum rainfall in the year than the other nearby villages. Recently a documentary was shot by doordarshan in allowang with the help of the villagers as the actors. there is a linked road to chaal kali temple from allowang. The renovation of the temple will sgortly start from 8th April onwards and know a days snavratri pujan is being conducted there and on the last daybhandaraa is served to the people after the pujann is over. During going to the temple the place around is simply amazing to be.
