Chak is developing village of the Palamu district. It is 12 km far from Manatu Block and 65 Km of district headquarter Medininagar. Here people are totally depend on agriculture. Deforestation is going on an alarming rate. Chak village is very beautiful with many animals and plants. we have a good environment. Villagers have good knowledge about agriculture. It is surrounded by forest and river. Village people produces more paddy crop, maze, wheat, gram etc. People of this village are very simple. They are celebrating all festival with all together. The mail festival are Holi, Dashara,Diwali, Chhath,Muharram etc. Chhaliha Chattan waterfall is very famous near this village. Now a days it is well connected by road and electricity. But due to unawareness of environment people are indulged in cutting forest. Request District Forest Officer to provide a sufficient number of forest guard in the forest to protect or save animals, flora and fauna.

A marginal village of Palamu and Chatra, District Jharkhand, which is mainly the joint name of two villages, Chak and Dumrawar. Small but mixed and densely populated, this village is capturing the captivating landscape of nature in a day of oblivion. Rivers on three sides and dense forest on one side, yet this village craving drinking water in the summer season, has been waiting for you for a long time.

Immersed in darkness for centuries, not decades, this village has been illuminated in the light of the past few years with modern amenities. The village which was once an impossible task, has now been connected by road from Daltonganj, Sherghati (Gaya) and Pratappur (Chatra) on three sides.

Paved roads come here from all sides. Bridges have been built on all the rivers and drains.

Due to Naxalite affected, a CRPF camp has been formed on behalf of the administration, so that people here and around feel safe.

The land here is considered very fertile for talent. Students who have read and written from here are waving the glory in the country and abroad. Contributing from the field of education to administrative service. How many students left here are employed in Air Force and Navy, do not know. The naive people here are politically active but clean heated.

If you come from the east, the Amjhar river welcomes you, the Dulki river when you come from the west and the Mohar river will see you waiting if you come from the north. Chak has been known since ancient times as a market. Here you will find many sweets shops along with ration shops and clothes shops. Come here and drink tea and see, you will be forced to come again with your friends and family.

The river "Amjhar" flowing east of Chak Bazar will be seen flowing continuously, incorporating natural beauty in itself. The pure water stream of the river will make you take a bath. In such a small waterfall "Hadhadwa" will draw you towards it, where you can enjoy bathing in water. Three kilometers south of Chak, there is another large waterfall near Badhar called "Chahaliya rock".

This place has been neglected by itself for years, due to the Naxal influence, but now there is no such thing. People from all around are now coming here and enjoying the natural hue. You may need permission from the local administration to go there. Come to our village Chak-Dumwar and give an opportunity for your service.

Note: - Best time to visit: - September to November Visit with your own vehicle.
