Our village named Jhatri is well known for its doing/performing the things in JHAT (fast) because the people residing thereat  having the Sir name BALODI i.e. bal & buddhi (power & brain) altogether. originally BALODIs are high level brahmins, we were SARRUAL (Khansama) whose cooked food was accepted by all the upper caste brahmins like DIMRI, NAUTIYAL  & so on all the ceremonies/rituals. 20 years back, this village was having around 90 families but as on date only 15-20 families are residing thereat, others shifted/migrated to Kotdwar or Dehradun for education or livelihood. Our village is also having one Rawat family (now became 3 families)  migrated from Dabrana village from our own gramsabha village, we treat them as our Balodi family only & they also reciprocate the same.
