Lakkur is located in Malur taluk, Kolar district, Karnataka.It is a historical place just 4 kilometres away from the famous Chikka Tirupathi Venkateshwara temple. There is an historical Shiva temple situated in Lakkur. Around 1200 years back Prasanna Someshwara temple was situated which is a Hindu holy temple of the lord Shiva .Every year the next day after Maha Shivaratri there will an annual Bramha ratotsava of lord Shiva, during which many devotees come to seek the blessing of Shiva. Recently Vasavi Temple is also situated here. This Temple belongs to Aryavyshya Community. Not only these temples but also we have Shri Rama Temple and Anjenaya Temple. Along with shiva, shri rama Bramha ratotsava is also attended by many pilgrims which is held a week after Ugadi every year

Kodihalli village is famous for Rose plantations and other flower are also supplied to other states from here. Chikkathirupathi Venkateshwara Temple is a very famous temple in Kolar District.
