DESASAN is a very small but good village having
1011 population as per census 2011 (Panchayati Raj Ministry,Government of India) ,situated near
KHARI River. It is only
11 Km away from District Headquarter HIMATNAGAR enroute NH 8 in the East direction.The villagers are engaged in Agriculture business.Simple living and high thinking is the motto of these gentle people.Multi religious, Unity in diversity is the beauty of this Village Will you believe ?.My village has no POST OFFICE, NO BANK,No ATM,No Train railway facility, NO HIGH SCHOOL, No College, No Play ground...Is it not strange?
HISTORY:
Before 1 MAY 1960, before the formation of SABARKANTHA District in newly formed GUJARAT State, my village DESASAN was part of AHMEDABAD District, PRANTIJ Taluka. We are having revenue documents for this proof.

FESTIVALS:
Navratri is the famous festival since OCTOBER 1973. People from all communities enjoy Navratri for full 10 days.
HEALTH CARE:
We have got PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRE from the Government for Health Care of the people of my village.But the people are not utilising the FREE medical services provided by the Govt. They approach the costly Physicians, Surgeons in the nearby city HIMATNAGAR westing energy and money.. We appeal the Doctors and staff of PHC, Desasan, elders, village administrators to educate these people to avail this FREE medical facility...
SHAMAIYO:
This is the unique festival celebrated for 3 days of CHAITRI PUNAM by religious devotees visiting from far villages LAMBHVEL, ANAND, KADIYADRA, VADVASA Sahebapura etc. in loving memory of beloved GURU RAMBAVAJIRAM. The people of all communities of whole village take part to celebrate this unique gathering with LUNCH and Dinner provided by villagers of DESASAN.
PLACES OF INTEREST:
Very old LaxmiNarayan temple, Chorawali dungari, Vav, can be considered the places of Interest. We have heard from ancestors that CHORAWALI dungari was the courtyard of very big village, which has left some archeological residues. It can provide old treasure, if some one take interest for this.
