Godan fonded by Solanki Rajputs. The village founded by Thakur Godha Ji Solanki. decedent of Savantsinghot sub clan of Solankis of Roopnagar (Mewar). Former ruler were brave warriors who sacrificed th for welfare of cows and villagers. One of the former Thakur Kishan Singh fought Giri Sumel war from the side of King Maldeo of marwar. It is situated on Ahore - Jalore highway. Population of the village consist of blend of all Hindu casts and Muslim community also. Famous and historical temple of Chamuda Mata ,ancient temple of God Shiva Subhra Mata temple and famous temple of Rai Singh Ji (Rashi Mama Ji) who laid his life to protect Cows are some of the major religious places.
