There is a famous temple called Bhagavathi Amman Temple. I don't know why there is no mention of it here.About 40, 50 years ago, a festival was celebrated with great pomp every four years.Every day for more than seven days, the deity would be taken to the streets of each community on a different palanquin. People would perform puja there.At the end of the festival, the chariot that was there would be pulled. The chariot that goes around the town would finally be stopped on the left side of the temple.Once it was stopped, a big pit would be dug in front of the chariot, buffaloes would be sacrificed in it, and the pit would be closed.But I don't know why such festivals are not held now.
