 Amas (Block) Village lies in Gaya District .of Bihar, India. This village is situated at NH-24 which connects to Kolcata to Delhi. Its geographical coordinates are 24-38 0 North, 84 39 0 East. The meaning of Amas in Spanish/English dictionary 'Amas' means You love, in a Sanskrit meaning is- soft, fine.

Amas is 38.18 km distance for its  Gaya district and 118 km form patna which is know capital of Bihar. . The total population of the block is 81,640. There are 95 villages and 0 towns in this block. The literacy rate is 48.55%. The female literacy rate is 35.25%. The male literacy rate is 60.6%.Amas village has all three primary, secondary and higher schools. Primary school is situated in the  center of village, and secondary  and high schools  are beside of NH-24. here is also a govt health center and few private hospitals. One of most famous private  hospital was of late Dr. Dwarika Nath Mishra which was situated in village main market.

Amas village is know for unity  cultured and  this village has very big and old mosque which is situated in main market it was built 100 yrs ago by king Halan khan . This mosque can be seen form the other villages.
